Godzilla Minus One Review

Godzilla Minus One (2023, Toho Co.) is a great and clever film. This may look like an origin story on the creature, but it's a clever play on how Japan went from zero to minus one after dealing with the bombing at the end of World War 2. What's great about this film, is the special effects, the explosions, the boats, you name it.

It is fun to see Godzilla back on the big screen again. And this is totally true.

Home Alone Review

Home Alone (1990, 20th Century Fox) is my favourite Christmas movie ever because of Macaulay Culkin. My favourite scenes were Kevin jumping on his parents' bed eating popcorn and when Kevin was setting up traps for the burglars, Harry and Marv (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern). If you want a movie that's comical, this is a movie you don't want to miss. Home Alone has 5 sequels, Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, Home Alone 3, Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. 2 sequels are theatrical, and the other 2 are made for TV.

Pandas

Pandas (2018, Warner Bros.) is an IMAX movie filmed in China. It is a story about a young panda named Qian Qian. She was born in captivity and chosen to learn the skills needed to live in the wild. The film follows her growth from infancy to adulthood, documenting her caretakers' interactions in readying her for a return to the wild. I found this movie to be highly educational, because I learned that pandas are excellent tree climbers.

The Search For Life in Space

The Search For Life in Space (2016, MacGillvray Freeman Films) is a movie about life, and narrated by Malcolm McDowell. This film takes place in outer space, the extreme lava fields of Hawaii, the surface of Mars, thermal vents deep beneath the sea and the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn. The one thing I liked about the film was the space telescopes. The space telescopes were used for getting a clear view of exploding stars and other galaxies. The reason why you should watch this film is because it is educational and the photography is beautiful.
